At the request of Dep. Marcela, ICCF Mexico arranged a meeting with experts from civil society to collect technical data that allowed the Mexican Ocean Caucus to establish an agenda on priorities that should be addressed in the legislative framework.

The meeting had the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as The Ocean Foundation, WWF, the Environmental Defense Fund, COBI, CEDO, Oceana, and Niparajá. Following the meeting, the study titled "Priorities for a legislative agenda on sustainable oceans" was developed. This document was presented in bilateral meetings with Deputy Marcela Guerra and other members of the COM, including Senator Raúl Bolaños, Deputy Edna Díaz, Deputy Karen Castrejon, and others.
