The Ninth Meeting of the OECS Council of Ministers on Environmental Sustainability took place in St. Vincent & The Grenadines from May 31st -June 3rd 2022 on the theme of Shifting to a more integrated approach for sustainability and resilience, with a focus on bridging silos across environmental themes and between environmental and economic solutions.

The Council of Ministers on Environmental Sustainability is responsible for making recommendations to the OECS Authority (Heads of Governments) on matters pertaining to the environment and sustainable development and assists Member States in minimizing environmental vulnerability, implementing environmental sustainability measures, improving environmental management and protecting the region’s natural resource base for optimal social and economic benefits.

The ICCF Group, as the Secretariat for the Eastern Caribbean Regional Conservation Caucus, supported a launch event and dialogue on priority issues for Caucus members in accordance with the COM:ES to celebrate the launch of the regional caucus and announce the Co-Chairs and priority issues, opening an opportunity for dialogue and discussion with members.
