This event coincided with a visit from a delegation of US Congressmen, led by the UN Foundation, who expressed a keen interest in understanding the efforts of various stakeholders in addressing park management issues, with a particular emphasis on Ruaha National Park.
The delegation, comprising Members of Congress including Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán, Rep. Ed Case, and Rep. Emilia Sykes, expressed keen interest in understanding the efforts of various stakeholders in tackling park management issues in Tanzania, with a specific focus on Ruaha National Park.
Participating stakeholders included The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS), African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA), Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), Conservation International (CI), Rainforest Trust, and Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG).
