Combating Forestry and Wildlife Crime

ICCF Malawi is the newly formed secretariat to the Malawi Parliamentary Conservation Caucus (MPCC) and supports the MPCC in identifying high-priority natural resource and development concerns, implementing its policy and legislative agenda, and facilitating collaboration between the caucus and leaders in the business, conservation, and development communities.

After facilitating the launch of the MPCC in August 2015, The ICCF Group, with the MPCC, hosted a roundtable for members of the National Assembly as well as other senior government agency officials, conservation organizations, and development partners, to discuss development of a holistic national conservation policy.

“We can only sustain economic growth through agriculture if we ensure optimum and ecologically balanced use of land-based resources. They are the pillar of our economic growth.”

-- His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi
